Kim Schmidt consults with clients, oversees class action settlement administration for Rust's insurance and healthcare, consumer and Securities and Exchange Commission practice areas in Rust’s Faribault, Minnesota office. Schmidt works closely with counsel, Independent Distribution Consultants (IDCs) and economic experts. Schmidt oversees all services provided for the $445 million HealthSouth joint private and Fair Funds securities case.
Since joining Rust in 1999, Schmidt has worked on all aspects of claims administration, including project management, claims processing and distribution on more than 500 settlements, including LiPuma v. American Express settlement, the Microsoft Permatemp case and the MetLife insurance settlement.
Schmidt, her husband and three daughters reside in Faribault, Minnesota. In addition to spending time with her family, Schmidt enjoys boating and running.
