Posted: September 08, 2010

Experts from Rust Consulting, Inc. and Kinsella Media, LLC authored four chapters in the American Bar Association’s new book, A Practitioner’s Guide to Class Actions. Rust and Kinsella Media are the sole settlement administrator and notice provider, respectively, represented in the book.

Richard A. Nagareda, director of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution program at Vanderbilt University Law School, says in his forward that the Guide “continues the American Bar Association’s tradition of providing up-to-date guidance to practicing lawyers concerning areas of significant real-world concern” and “gathers timely work on the part of leading class-action lawyers and academics.”

Kinsella Media President Katherine Kinsella authored “The Plain Language Toolkit for Class Action Notice” and “Quantifying Notice Results in Consumer, Mass Tort, and Product Liability Class Actions—The Daubert/Kumho Tire Mandate,” and co-authored “Reality Check: The State of New Media Options for Class Notice” with Maureen Gorman of Kinsella Media. David Holland, a Rust executive vice president, wrote “Claims Administration,” an overview of class action settlement administration.

“We’re very proud to have articles placed alongside submissions from so many leading minds of the class action industry,” Holland said. “We were honored to be asked and believe the ABA has done a tremendous job with the Guide.”

The Guide is available for purchase through the ABA’s website, www.abanet.org.

Rust is the national leader in class action settlement administration, while Kinsella Media is the leading expert firm in the design, preparation and dissemination of legal notice. Rust and Kinsella Media offer clients in the legal, public, and business sectors a full complement of services including claimant location, data management, notification, claims processing, call center services, distribution and tax reporting.
